Yes. The checker works on any public website. The full report detects which website builder you use and shows short, step-by-step paste instructions for Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, GoDaddy, WordPress or a custom site, including honest workarounds where a builder can’t do something (for example, GoDaddy and Squarespace don’t let you edit robots.txt).
What Is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a markdown file at the root of your site that gives large language models a short summary of your site and links to its most important pages, similar to how sitemap.xml helps search engines. It’s a new, proposed standard and not yet widely used by AI engines, so we label it emerging and it counts for very little in your score.
Is There an API for AI Agents?
Yes. Call GET /api/check?url=example.com to get JSON results. The OpenAPI spec is at /openapi.json and a plugin manifest is at /.well-known/ai-plugin.json.
Is My Check Private?
Yes. There are no accounts and no cookies, and your results are never published. If you tap Share Your Score, the link you send shows only the site name and its score. We keep a short cache of results (about 30 minutes) to keep the tool fast, plus anonymous daily totals like the number of checks. We never store IP addresses. Details are on the privacy page.
